In this workshop, we will explore 3/8 time with a beautiful New England contra tune from the 1840’s titled The Point Shirly Waltz. We will discuss how and why tunes might be arranged in this time signature as opposed to 3/4 time. We will also have a look at some useful embellishment and accompaniment techniques to help you bring this bouncy tune to life in fun and creative ways!
