I LOVE the sound of songs in the Mixolydian mode. Come explore with me the bright modal Mixolydian mystery of tunes like “Old Joe Clark,” “Down the River I Go,” “Over the Waterfall” and “Cluck Old Hen.” Basic music/modal theory will be included to explain how Mixolydian is different from the other modes. This workshop deepens modal confidence and celebrates the bright, earthy sound at the heart of traditional dulcimer music. Tune to DAD and bring a capo.
