Tommy Emanuel, Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, Jim Croce, Paul Simon, and John Denver all play the thumb-picking/finger style method used by myriads of other guitarists around the world. Discover the basic three finger-roll: a right-hand alternating thumb pattern on the lower strings with index and middle fingers filling out the chord on the upper strings. We’ll cover the patterns for 4/4 & 3/4 timing, using them to back up singing and other acoustic instruments.
