As a composer of the Romantic period (1815–1910), Johannes Brahms wrote music known for its autumnal beauty and deep passion. Although much of it is too harmonically complex for a diatonic dulcimer, we’ll see how a bit of fancy fingering and thoughtful interpretation can enable us to enjoy playing two of his most famous compositions, the lovely Waltz (originally in A flat) and his beloved Lullaby, here arranged for either flat-picking or fingerpicking.
