Though known for their crafts and lifestyle, the Shakers wrote hundreds of tunes and ballads. In this workshop we will explore some of their dance music as well as the poignant songs they created or adopted. There will be some new compositions and some from my previous workshop. Ballads include “Bow Down O Zion,” “O Little Children,” and “The Humble Heart” Dance tunes include “The Shuffling Song,” “FM’s March,” and “The Backmanner Tune.” No video provided.
