The use of vocables (words or phrases) to assist us in learning and remembering strumming patterns is well-proven, but these are also effective tools for learning more intricate and tricky rhythms. Using the tunes Bill Sullivan’s Polka and Caledonian Club strathspey and the Club-Footed Jib in 7/8 our vocables will unlock the rhythms and help cement them in our memory. Tune videos provided before class.
