Explore the interesting chords and fingerpicking patterns of 4-equidistant strings tuned to D-A-d-d. We’ll learn Heidi’s own “Leaving the Methow” from the Masters of the Mountain Dulcimer Vol. II CD and “Winter’s Turning.” Adapting standard fingerpicking techniques to incorporate an extra string, we’ll look at how this style can enhance chord melodies. We’ll also use hammers, pulls, and slides throughout these arrangements. Please come with strings already separated.
