Though hornpipes have a completely different feel than reels, many are straightened out and sped up, losing their essential “hornpipe-y-ness.” (Yes, I just made up that word!) This jaunty hornpipe asks us to lead with both hands while gently playing swing eighths. The bonus arrangement (which you’ll receive with an audio file to work on post-workshop) utilizes light ornaments, lots of triplets, and other fun arranging elements. Entire class video provided!
