You’ll learn two old European carols in different modes—major and minor/Dorian. The tune for “O Come Little Children” was composed by German court musician Johann Schulz around 1790, and the French carol “Sing We Now of Christmas” (“Noel Nouvelet”) dates back to about 1500! We’ll focus on finding the key scales and adding simple harmonies. Videos provided after the class. Fine for 12/11 HDs.
