An overwhelming majority of the patterns we encounter on the hammered dulcimer can be reduced and narrowed down to three basic shapes. In this workshop we will play these shapes, discuss the music theory behind them, and learn what they can tell you about a passage in music. This understanding will help you become more efficient at learning and playing the dulcimer. This workshop will be recorded.
