Hi Mission & Partner Sponsors!
As a part of our weekend of festivities, we will be promoting a virtual vending event. Only QDF mission and partner sponsors are invited to be vendors. You are not required to participate if you are not available or don’t feel comfortable with the technology. This is an opportunity for you to connect with the community. It is casual and a great way to connect with dulcimer enthusiasts around the country.
Here’s how it will work:
When: Thursday, June 4th from 4pm-6:00pm EDT (3pm-5:00pm CDT)
Participating sponsors must set up a Zoom meeting in advance and send their link (via the form on this page) by May 31st, End of Day.
Do not email the link to one of us. Use the form below.
Before June 4th, visit virtualdulcimerfest.com and check that your link is listed correctly. If it is not correct, email me at: katiemoritz1@gmail.com. Don’t wait till 5 minutes before to check.
On June 4th, open up your Zoom room at 4pm EST and hang out at your virtual “vendor booth” for a bit!
We do not have specific guidelines for how you set up and conduct your vendor booth. You can answer questions, chit-chat, prepare a short presentation/demonstration, etc... If you're a Zoom beginner, I’ve included a few tips below.
A Zoom Pro account is recommended because there is no time limit. If you do not have a pro account, that’s ok. You’ll just have to close and reopen your meeting every 45 minutes.
When scheduling, uncheck the box for “Waiting Rooms” and “only authenticated users…”
If you’re new to hosting meetings, take some time to locate the “mute all” feature in advance.
If you need to take a break or are not available for the entire duration, you can just be present only when you’re available. A better option is to leave the meeting open, mute yourself, and put up a sign in front of the camera saying when you’ll be there.
Like vending at a festival, people come and go. Sometimes you have a bunch of people in there asking questions and watching demos. Sometimes you are just sitting in a Zoom meeting by yourself.
Concerts start at 7:15pm Eastern time. You do not need to close your meetings at exactly 6:00pm, but we’d prefer you wrap things up by concert time.
We will be promoting this event and we encourage you to do the same!
