$1.50 PRICE INCREASE

In 2020, we founded QuaranTUNE as a way to provide income for dulcimer professionals and to help keep our musical community connected during uncertain times.  Back then, we set your cost for classes at $10 and concert series tickets at $25.  While we have seen dramatic increases in our operational costs and expenses over the past five years, we have raised our prices by only 99 cents.  So, one reason for the price increase is to make sure QuaranTUNE can remain financially viable for the long term.

The second reason is to provide a well-deserved benefit to our faithful instructors.  In each QuaranTUNE festival, we strive to promote our art by offering teaching opportunities to as many instructors as possible.  On the plus side, this broadens the number of class opportunities for you at each of the various levels and in each of our time slots.  But with so many class offerings, this also means that some classes will be full while others will have only a few students.  So, we are introducing a new, minimum compensation policy for our instructors that guarantees them fair compensation for teaching their classes, even though some may have only a few students.  This will enable us to continue attracting the finest instructors, and to keep QuaranTUNE as the #1 online dulcimer festival in the world!
