Lil Rev
Lil Rev is an award-winning, WI based multi-instrumentalist and author of over a dozen instructional books on ukulele and harmonica via Hal Leonard Publishing of Milwaukee, WI. He tours The United States and Canada sharing his passion as a music educator and entertainer. His classes and concerts are a deep dive into the roots and branches of Blues, Bluegrass, Folk, Roots Rock, Klezmer, Celtic & Original Music Styles. He was voted Best Folksinger in WI in the 2004 WAMI Awards and is the 1996 National Harmonica Champion at Avoca.
Always in demand on the ukulele festival & teaching circuit. Lil Rev has released over 20 albums and his Ukulele Method Book, The Hal Leonard Ukulele Method Book #1 has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.
Over the years, Lil Rev has taught and performed with some of the best dulcimer players in America. His Dulcimer journey started some years ago when Richard Ash of Folkcraft Instruments in Indiana hired him to teach at his Midwest Uke and Dulcimer Fest and ended up gifting him a Folkcraft Dulcimer. Lil Rev has since become totally fascinated with the dulcimers unique tonal possibilities. He has a keen interest in Klezmer & Yiddish, Blues, Old Time and his continued effort as a songsmith.
Rev has appeared at numerous Dulcimer events including The Nutmeg Dulcimer Festival, Pat Clark's Send In The Music and The Midwest Dulcimer & Uke Fest. In addition, he's also done virtual shows with Bing Futch & Stephen Siefert.
