Buckeye RoadShow

Buckeye RoadShow—hailing from central and southwestern Ohio—is the musical collaboration of Shari Wolf and Chris and Joe Steiner. What started as a response to challenging times has grown into something much bigger.

When the world slowed down during COVID-19, live festivals, club meetings, and jam sessions suddenly disappeared. But where there was a void, these three friends saw opportunity. Determined to keep the music going, they found a way to bring people together—no matter the distance.

Their journey began with monthly Zoom jams, originally inviting friends and past participants from the Buckeye Dulcimer Festival. It didn’t take long to realize they had tapped into something special. Musicians everywhere were craving connection, community, and the simple joy of playing together. Inspired by the spirit of a Buckeye Dulcimer Festival jam—the heart and soul of the event—Buckeye RoadShow was born.

When in-person gatherings returned in spring 2022, the trio didn’t slow down. Instead, they became a driving force behind keeping the Buckeye Dulcimer Festival thriving, while continuing to expand their reach.

Today, Buckeye RoadShow brings music to life in multiple ways. They host lively monthly Zoom jams that connect players across the country. They partner with clubs to offer workshops, support, and inspiration. And, of course, they love nothing more than sharing their music in live performances.

Their mission is simple: keep old-time music alive by sharing it—one tune at a time.
