Cara Wildman

Cara Wildman is a musician and dancer from Dorchester, Texas. She has performed in a variety of musical ensembles around the world, including with Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps, Celtic Thunder, The Irish Memory Orchestra, and Máiréad Nesbitt. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education from Texas Christian University, and a second Master's in Irish Traditional Music Performance from the University of Limerick in Ireland. Cara's playing has garnered international accolades including placing 3rd in Senior Bodhran at the 2019 All-Ireland fleadh in Drogheda, Ireland--the first American ever to medal in this category. In addition, she has taught at some of the premier percussion/folk music schools in the world, including the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat, John C. Campbell Folk School, Milwaukee Irish Festival Summer School, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), and given concerts and clinics at colleges and universities across the globe.
